Programs at the RESERVE In an effort to help teachers meet their PASS skills, we have created some standard programs for each grade level.
1st Grade: Ecosystems; Exploring the different Ecosystems around the Reserve, the students will cover the following. Physical Science. Standard 1-1, 1-2, 1-3(weather dependent) Life Science. Standard 2-1, 2-2 Earth/Space. Standard 3-1, 3-2
2nd Grade: Life Cycles; Students will explore both plants and animals to cover the following. Life Science. Standard 2-1, 2-2 Earth/Space. Standard 3-1, 3-2
3rd Grade: Survival; Plants and animals have and need special things to survive, while discovering these, students will cover the following. Physical Science. Standard 1-1 Life Science. Standard 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 Earth/Space. Standard 3-1, 3-2
4th Grade: Adaptations/Classification; By observing both plants and animals, students will cover the following. Life Science. Standard 3-1, 3-2, 3-3 Earth/Space. Standard 4-2
5th Grade: Food Webs; By exploring different ecosystems students will see that while the participants may be different the process remains the same, while covering. Physical Science. Standard 1-1, 1-3 Life Science. Standard 2-1, 2-2 Earth/Space. Standard 3-1
6th Grade: Water; While investigating an aquatic ecosystem, students will cover the following. Life Science. Standard 4-1, 4-2 Earth/Space. Standard 5-2, 5-3
7th Grade: Adaptations; By observing different organisms students will cover the following. Life Science. Standard 2-2 3-1, 3-2 |
