STRIVING TO CONSERVE NATURAL RESOURCES THROUGH EDUCATION AND PRACTICES

6th - 8th grade students from the Sam Noble Museum "Oklahoma Science Adventure"  Summer Camp (www.snomnh.ou.edu)  performed research projects at the Reserve here in Claremore on July 12th - 14th.  The students working in small groups learned how to design a research project, gathered the correct tools for this project and then with the assistance of the staff from the Sam Noble Museum and the Rogers County Conservation District carried out their projects. Each group of students presented their findings after returning back to Norman.   The students worked hard, learned a lot and had fun along the way with a campfire and cookout at the Reserve and river rafting in Tahlequah.  (more pictures......)
